Reveal a moving image on your Course Tab Presentation Card upon hover

This feature lets you set a hover image on your Course Tab Presentation Card. You want to use this when you would like to use a GIF to present your course.

What it does is that the GIF starts playing only when your student hovers over the image.

To set this up follow these steps:

Step 1: Go WPEP -> Settings and click Course Options in the Index Page card.

Step 2: Enable Image Hover

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.

Step 4: Go to WPEP -> All Courses and click the course where you’d like to add the GIF to open the editor. On the Course Edit Page, on the right-hand side, upload a thumbnail hover image.
(The recommended size is: 300px x 190px)

Step 4: Publish / Update your course.

DONE!

Preview 1: In this example, we just used two different images.

Preview 2: In this example, we just used an image as the hover image and a GIF that shows after the hover.

Why is this a great feature?

The more GIF files you use on your Presentation Cards, the heavier and slower your site gets because all the GIFs need to be loaded into the browser on each refresh.

By adding a hover image you solve this issue – your site stays “slim” and the movie only plays on hover.
