I am not getting update invites in my WP Dashboard. How do I manually install WpEp?
You need to install the latest Version manually via FTP.
There are two ways to do this. If you’re used to working via FTP, just download the latest Version of WPEP from within your CodeisCode Account, unzip it and upload and replace it in your WPEP folder in your wp-content/plugins folder on your public_html.
If you’re not a Techie and are not used to working with FTP tools don’t worry…it’s easy…I’ll take you step-by-step.
Step 1: Go to your Wp-Dashboard –> Plugins and deactivate WPEP.
Step 2: Log into the Cpanel of the domain where you got an earlier Version of WPEP installed.
Step 3: Click on File Manager
Step 4: Click on your Home Directory
Step 5: Click on your public_html folder
Step 6: Click on your wp-content folder
Step 7: Click on your plugins folder
Step 8: Click on the Upload link
Step 9: Find the wpep.zip file, which you downloaded from your CodeisCode account, in your local hard-drive and upload it.
Step 10: Let it do its thing until you see: Upload Complete at the bottom right-hand corner.
Step 11: Now Delete the WPEP folder which was already inside the plugins folder.
Step 12: Select your uploaded wpep.zip
Step 13: Click Extract on the upper bar of your File Manager
Step 14: In the Popup, click extract file(s)
Step 15: Let it do its thing
Step 16: Cick Close on the extraction process window
Step 17: If you don’t see the wpep folder in your /plugins folder, hit Reload and it’ll appear.
Step 18: Now you can delete the wpep.zip file and close the file manager, you’re done.
You now have learned how to manually install any kind of WP plugin from within your Cpanel.
You can do the same thing by simply using an FTP tool.
The final step is to just go to your Plugin Section in your WP Dashboard and reactivate your WPEP License.
You’re done – from now on you’ll get auto update invites in your WP-Dashboard.
